“Zia Roma” comes from an unusual combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese; more precisely, it is 85 percent Cabernet Sauvignon and 15 percent Tuscan Sangiovese.
The wines were harvested and vinified separately in 750-liter high-toast oak barrels, then blended together to make this bottle.
The result was a smooth wine with hints of dried fruit and hay joined together by a hint of vanilla that makes the complexity of this wine very pleasant and smooth on the palate.
